Just wondering what size and brand tires everyone had on their 18's.....I'm thinking about getting some and I'm having a hard time finding the right tires that will look good with the 3/5 drop.

 

i have 255/55/18 on my 18x8. that looks kind of beefy above the rim, if i got to do it again, id get 50 instead of 55. that would be perfect

 

How About some Nitto 555 295 45 18's up from and some 555R'305 45 18's in the back for some Traction !!
that what I'll be going with
with a 2" 4" drop from Hotckis or DJM

 

I'm not running 18's but I have to say go with some Toyo Proxes S/T's.

 

Check out my thread I have 18x8.5's with 255-55-18 nittos.

I would not go thinner I think they become less practical.

 

Personally, if you can fit a wider tire than a 255 with that drop I would. What back spacing do you have on the wheels? I have Yokahama 285/50/18's and I will be getting them again when they wear out. Best tire I ever owned. Also, on my 18x8 Centerline Tracers with 5" b/s, they do not rub with my 3/4 drop. I have the same tires as Greg but I will not be buying them again. I may have gotten a bad set but IMO they did not provide $50/tire more traction than the Nitto 404s I had before. Although they are a kick *** looking tire.

 

i got the 285/50-18 yokohama avs s/t's too. they look bad *** w/ the 2-4 drop and they have pretty good traction. they hook better than my buddies nitto 555's. and i will definatly be getting another set of them when its time for some new ones. i think i have a pic of them on my site.

 

ihave 17's x8.5 and can fit a 275 tire, so you definatly can go wider than 255
