I would have of welded mine in, but I have a hidden hitch, and I feared that I wouldn't be able to get it out if I needed to with a welded in roll pan. Thinking about it though, I don't know why I would take my hitch off, and even removing a riveted roll pan is a PITA.

 

weld it in it looks way better! Just make sure that you do it right so it wont crack after awhile

 

I didnt install mine but are you saying if you ahve the hidden hitch you may not be able to get it out ? I was going to sell mine since i never use it but thats wont happen if I can't get it off

 

The reason I didn't mould mine in is just in case i need to remove it for some reason for a while to run with the bumper and hitch. One of these days I'll get a hidden hitch and shave the tailgate and then mould it.

nuff said. I have had mine for over a year. no problems! just be verrrry careful when backing up. you don't want to dent this one

 

the hitch will go in no problem with the roll pan welded. I have a sir michaels roll pan and a hidden hitch and have had no rpoblems. Depending where your exhaust is will determine how easy your roll pan will come out. Dents are a bitch though. Gotta be extremely careful when backing up and where you park. Also, its very important, especially if you live where it rains or snows that you seal the welds and paint the back side of the roll to prevent corrosion and rust. Other than that, Weld it!
