Default WaterSpots

I have waterspots on my fenders and cab, and on my windows, i cant seem to get it off, on the windows i tried 0000 steel wool, no worky, and on the paint ive used a buffer before, but it didnt work, the paint shines great, but needs the water spots removed.

What products/ techniques do i need to do to remove the water spots?

Wetsand? if so what grit? 2000?

Heavy rubbing compound?

We had a water softener put in at my house and that cured my waterspot problems lol.

I always thought a claybar would do the trick but maybe not?

Clay bar will remove waterspots but not acid rain etching.

Not sure bud, hoping someone can share a good technique/ product to address this , the old *****'s paint is still shiny , but has some acid rain type water spots , and the side glass also.

I'm going to bust out the wool pad and some finish cut wizards polish and see what I can do, but I'm thinking I might need to wet sand, I'm afraid to **** up the paint though .

Bed and hood / flairs are fresh paint , doors , cab and fenders need the spots removed, or I have it all repainted this winter.

I am under the understanding that wetsanding is the only way if a compound will not remove it. I am just afraid to do it, I have some marks on my hood that I hate but you can only see them under the right light. You have to be really careful not to cut through the clear coat. If doing it I would start with something REALLY mild. Maybe 2k Grit. Not sure.
