Default Waht kind of drop on Boyd's

I have a 2003 gmc sierra and I just put the boyd coddington timeless 22 on the truck. The rims are 22 inches and the tire size is 285/35/22. I was thinking about a 3/4 or 3/5. What do you guys think. I want to order the kit tommorrow so please provide your input and thank you.

What backspacing did you go with? Belltech makes a nice 3/4 kit. It will have some rake to it though. Another option would be 3" front coils, 4" drop leafs and a 1" shackle for a 3/5. With a 5" drop in the back you are likely going to want to go ahead and notch your frame unless you like bottoming out all the time. And if you are going to notch you might as well get it over with and go 4/6

I would go with a 4/6 but I drive the truck all the time and I dont know if thats to low. The back spacing is for a 4/6 or a bagged truck. I dont remember off hand what it is. Thanks for the advise, where would you get the kit.

i believe many of the sponsors on this site carry the kit. i bought mine from stylinconcepts though. I have daily driven a 4/6 for 6 months and i wouldnt' trade it for anything. as long as you know where you are and be careful you'll have no problems.

You should have no problem w/ a 4/6 drop if you got the correct backspacing. I test fit some Boyd 22X10 Turbines w 295/35's on my truck (4/6 drop), and I think that there are some pics laying around my buddy's shop. I'll have to see if I can get them and scan them.

The truck didn't scrub lock-to-lock, and the short test drive really didn't expose any real problems.

I wouldn't hesitate to put 22's on my truck with the 4/6 drop, especially if I had the 285/35's.

Let's see some pics!
