Tried some plasti dip today
Finally got some time to try some plasti dip on my stock hood was wanting to try a paint scheme to cover the peeling clear coat while my 2500hd hood is being painted
I taped off how I wanted it cleaned with mineral spirits
All painted with plasti dip and you really have to put some layers on for as big of a piece I did, Keep in mind this stuff does dry pretty quick can said 30min between coast but was dried on one side when I was working on the other side of the hood needless to say had to use a razor blade alone the tape line
Final finished look was thinking of puting a coat of flat black over it to keep it from fading but not going to be on very long

Looks good man. I don't think you will have a problem with fading for a while. I would even go as far as saying that flat black paint would fade faster then the plastidip by its self.
