Default trailer hitch

Alright, this is a lame question but I figured this is the quickest way to get a reliable answer. I just got back home for the holidays and my mom wants me to put a third brake light in as her hitch cover. Simple. But the plug is nowhere near the gm installed plug. The plug I have on the cover is one male one female in a line.
Kinda like:

The GM receiver on the bravada itself is the circular plug. Whats the easiest way to adapt this to work? Splicing into the harness attached to the plug? Can I buy that plug ending and only use the brake light? I'm looking for ideas here or a solution if any of you have put one of these in. Thanks!

you probably can get an adaptor at uhaul. or you might even be able to get one at walmart. or you can run a wire tap from the brake lights and turn signals to the hitch cover.

if it were me, i would not put anything there.
