I finally put my drop shackles on my truck. It was hard because it is a stepside but i found an easier way, a cutting torch and new bolts. This made it easy and quick. I am new here and will try to post pics soon. I have a 99 Chevy stepside, V6, dark tint, and the usual stereo upgrades( new cd player, amp, and woofer).Just need to get the tahoe grill and i will be done.

Shackles = Cheap and easy start...plus it makes the truck look great. Post some pics when you get a chance.
And
about being a bitch on sportsides. I found that out the hard way on my old truck.
Although, I didn't cut my bolts off. All I did was unbolt the last few bed bolts and lift the bed up enough to get the shackles off. Take a couple of people though...
