Big, heavy, ugly and overpriced. No Thanks, I'll stick with my Chevy.

I talked to a rep from Toyota that was at work the other day, and while the truck is fugly they are pretty decent platforms. The guy really knew his stuff and from what he told me the 5.7 with a 6 speed auto and 4.30 gears is going to be a hoss. Of course I had to grill him to see what us GM guys are up against but he responded well.

I test drove reg cab longbox with 5.7 before I bought my Sierra. Power is nice, I thought the interior looked cheap (sorry, not meaning to diss anyone but seriously hard plastic and just felt cheap IMHO) and the handling was nothing near the sierra RCSB I test drove with 17's. Once I drove mine with the 20's knew I made the right choice, no doubt about it.

Exterior styling is subjective. RC Tundra just plain looks weird although area behind rear seat is nice.

Not only that, Toyota is worse than GM in limiting options avail on reg cabs, so with way less options price was the same as my loaded Sierra.

But competition is good, maybe GM will let us order any engine in any body style...(6.2L/6 speed auto RCSB would be awesome!).

Enjoy your new truck!

unfreakin believable! he told me that toyota was pricing the truck extra high on purpose because they feared that they would take the #1 truck market to easily and **** to many die-hard american truck guys off, so toyota is wanted to price them a bit high and slowly move to the #1 truck market at a pace.

whether its BS or not, i dont know, but i do know the guy personally, and i dont hold him to a liar.

Wow, salesmen even lie to their friends. That's why one shouldn't lie all the time, you'll eventually believe your own bullshit.
