Default Tires rubbing

Right now I'm running 275/60/17s on my stock height 2000 silverado RCSB. I was looking at lowering it and different things and I did some measuring in my fender well and with the wheels cut it looks like i can only lower it like an inch in the front without them rubbing. I haven't measured my rims but I think they are the 7.5" wide ones. Any input on what I could do? I wanna get 18s and do like a 2/4.

you can do a 2/4 with 255/55/18's without rubbing issues, but any lower and you will likely have a problem.

if this helps....im running 285/50/20 on a 20x8.5 rim with a 2/4 djm drop and they only rub on the inner plastic fender well(theres a part that sticks out father than any where else) at FULL turn.but as for normal driving their perfect.

you could runa 2/4 with the tires you have now...I had a 2/4 with 31.6" tall tires.

yours are exactly 30" tall
