Those with billet wheels, gotta Q?
#2
I think mine are billet, I haven't seen it done on truck wheels but I have seen it done on bikes. The wheels on a rocket bike are aluminum, and are usually powdercoated from the factory. A lot of guys take a very heavy grade paint stripper and pic a line and remove the outer lip of color. And then polish the wheel.
One trick for you to do is first play around on photoshop or something and see if it is worth all the hassle for the look you want.
Then, powdercoat the ENTIRE outside of the wheel. Then you can determin how much you want to take off. Once you get the line you want and take the coating off Mothers polish works great to bring the shine back out.
Hope this helps.
