Default stupid snow...curbed my wheels

so i curbed my wheels in the snow the other day trying to avoid a van. front on it pretty bad but the back one is just scrubbed. so my question is, can i polish this out and it be ok? these are factory 20's that are cast aluminum and chrome plated. so if i polish out the curb rash will the chrome start to peel over time? if not, i think i can polish it enough to look very similar so that you can notice it. but if it going to start to peel then screw that i need to replace it.

pic is not the greatest but this is the front rim. yes that is a chunk out where it looks like mud on the edge.

this is the one i think can be fixed

same rim just different angle of rub

don't mind the mud and dirt. it snowed its *** off here all weekend.

Look in the phone book or type "wheel repair" in google. Theres a place that comes to our dealership, picks the wheel up, does their thing, then brings it back when it's done. I've seen their work and it's good There's a couple of wheel repair places arouind here
