When i bought my truck new it was a stepside after bagging the truck and breaking two drivers side box side on the stepside, i located a new box off of an 05 gmc ECSB i was able to get the box for a thousand. But the things that are different is the filler neck has to be cut and extened, you will need to get fleetside taillighs with harness's, the bumper is different on the two models i molded a pan in,other than that all the mounting locations are the same. i have never had a problem removing a box with two people.

yeah you shouldnt really need more than 2 people. but it helps to have another person watch so nothin gets snagged (filler neck).
