Question steering wheel airbag

Both my airbags went off in my wreck so I need some new ones. This guy is selling his steering wheel with the airbag for 75 or 100 or something like that. But I need to know if it will just hook up and work fine?

Is it from the same year/model of truck? If so, then there shouldn't be any problems.

I personally wouldn't trust a used airbag unless you enjoy taking to chance of it not working when you need it most. I buy used stuff whenever I can, but when it comes to airbags I'd stick to an off-the-shelf part.

Im just suprised they went off...lol. Most everytime i'm at the salvage auction, i hardly ever see a GM vehicle with deployed airbags even when there thrashed. Probably 75% of the vehicles i see didn't deploy. I got rear ended pretty hard in my old 95 Camaro, pushed the rear end up to the backseat...airbags never deployed and there was nothing wrong with the airbag system except the only thing left of the rear airbag sensor was a peice of plastic the size of a quarter. Personally, i wouldn't worry about it and just replace it with the used one if you can get it that cheap. New bags from the dealer are friggin outrageous....thinking about 1200 bucks for the set and when its hit or miss if there gonna go off or not, i'd save the money.
