Post silly headlight question

okay i know this may be a silly question and maybe its been answered before but i searched and couldn't find anything. Ive always wondered why i see so many pictures of sierras and silverado's missing the passenger headlight. specially at the track. is that the new thing or just a coincidence?

The air box is right behind the light. I took mine out and gained .2. I changed nothing else and the two runs were 10 minutes apart. And also never lost those .2 for the rest of the night. Others have shown solid gains also.

I personaly cut the front of my box out just to help the air along. I plan to do the same thing on my Tahoe one day but havn't.

wow i would have never imagined but now it makes sence moving it out of the way to drop some time at the track. Have you seen any of those crazy setups where they run the intake all the way to the bottom of the truck like right next to the radiator? i remember seeing this guy with a set up like that and i thought he was crazy haha. would that work too?

Yes that would work. Ram air has been shown to have a small effect by some. I believe in it, going from a stock set up to ram air will gain a small amount. Possibly .1-.3 in the quarter is my guess. But every bit helps, especially with economy.

The headlight removal is just as stated^^^ However the actual ram air effect is up in the air, myth.. It does not really do anything untill over 100+ mph..
