Default Shocks for 4"/6" drop

I tried to do a search but I didn't get many reviews from people with 4"/6" drops, I did however see a lot of names pop up constantly. People swear by bilstein, nitro drop actives, and Edelbrock IAS Shocks. My question is for those of you using a 4"/6" drop which do you swear by? I'm mainly looking for a ride that will help out on bumps. I'm tired of hitting a bump and having a horrible ride over it, I mean I feel almost every bump on the road.

thx

i wondered the same thing. i'm still running stock shocks on my 4/6. and running 265/35/22 tires doesn't help. i also feel all the bumps i run over.

They are pricey but well worth it IMO... get the Edelbrocks... They are around $80 a piece I believe.

Not knocking deucedbow's decision on shocks but I have owned toxics and belltech nitro actives and the belltechs are a million times better. I have them on my truck now, which is the third truck I have had them on, and I dont think I will ever get anything else. From what I understand, Nitro Drops are close to the same ride, just a bit cheaper. Brian McClure sells them, email slammedone@***.net

dont forget about doetsch tech

oh, and i think after you go below 5" you have to use a different shock on each side in the rear.

I have ground force on front and air shocks on rear on 275/50/17's and it rides real good for a 4/6. The ride depends also on the tires. The lower profile tires will give you a rougher ride.

Nah, you dont have to with the Nitro Actives. The shock travel is not much, so you dont have to worry about it. Saying this, little shock travel does not mean rough ride.

Ok well I've called doetsch, and summit and summit says they don't have any edelbrocks that fit for a 4"/6". They did say the belltechs would work and gave me part numbers for both front and rears so I might go with them. Doetsch gave me product numbers but she must have said the rear number wrong b/c I can't find them.

Why do you need two different sizes in the rear? Summit didn't say anything about this?
