Need help looking for a antenna.

don't do it! The so called billet antennas are usually made out of aluminum. They get terrible reception. Check out ebay for a seller called antennax - the spelling may be wrong. The antenna he sells is about 12-15" and is made out of a rubber/plastic-like material. They get great reception and go for about $10 (I think). I have an '01 and the antenna just screws right on. It comes with adapters, but I didn't need to use one. There is a thread at fullsize chevy about them. There are some pics there. They look cool.

I had a billet one and i got great reception it's all about what brand you get. I paid $20 for one from a local shop and it was the brand trendz. It got stolen about 6 months ago and i couldn't find my old one so i hunted the junkyards while looking for a tranny and i finnaly found one. I swear they are the first things to go when those vehicles are brought in. It was hell trying find one. Just look around and make sure it's real billet.

Not to hijack your thread or anything but what about puting in a power antenna? I did the "power antenna" mod on my 02 Camaro (you know, put in the Firebirds power antenna into the Camaro), any kind of mod like that for GM trucks?

i used to have a billet antenna on my truck it worked great stylinconcepts.com is probably your best choice they got more selection. But if you really wanna make a statement just shave it off with a antenna from www.autoloc.com i got one on my truck right now and its got a little bit worse reception than the billet and stocker but would you rather look good or get just a little bit better reception? your choice
