Default shackles

whats up guys i have never done any suspension work on my truck and about two weeks ago i put some shackles on my truck. but now on any little bump the truck squeaks at the rear. even when i got off the truck i can hear it and i only weigh 160 pounds. what do you all think it might be?

i have that noise to, really annoying, i also have a squeak when i brake, not rotor/pad squeak, but another type, sort of like is something is dry or stretching out, dont know, very hard to describe.

Did you guys get the ones with grease zerks? If not spray some belt dressing on them and work them a little.

From what I hear, that noise is due overtorquing the bolts and not sufficioet lubricant. I would loosen up the bolts and retorque them not as tight as the first time. What brand do you have btw?

When installing rear shackles - need to install them loose - then put the truck back on the ground - then tighten the shackle bolts - lube the bolt and the sides of the bushings - should solve the problem....

I had that problem too due to overtightening the bolts!
