Default removeing 4wd blocks?

I have a CC that I want to do a 2/4 drop on. But the hangers on the crew cab are welded on so the kit comes with rear leaf springs and shackels. I already have the 2" shackels on the truck and plan on buying 2" McGaughys spindles new off a friend. So my question is does anyone have any reason I couldn't take the 4WD blocks out of the rear to get the other 2 inches I need?
