Sorry cell phone pictures.
Of course nothing is done yet. Going back under the knife tonight. Still have to pull out the rearend pull a overload spring, take out the front drop spring and cut a turn or two out of it. New wheels will be here on tuesday 20/22 wheel setup. Still need to install the Silverado tails i just picked up, need to do a little fabbing up to get the bulbs to fit. Sitting 2/4 or 3/4 now with cal tracs and new lowering shocks.
Getting ready to back under the knife after a summer a rolling.

Running shoes off and up in the air getting ready to tear into the sus.

Rear disk with shackles and hangers 4" total drop with caltrac bars, going to tear it down and pull out the overload leaf. Hopefully get another 2-3" of drop out of it.

Going to pull the 2-3" drop spring out and cut 1 or 2 turns out of it

Here are the OEM wheels that i hand sandblasted and refinished painted and cleared, with street slicks and nice front runner tires.
might be for sale.

For those who havent seen my motor here she is in all her glory. NX kit 175 shot, cammed thunder racing came, pushrods and rockers, some fat heat resistant 10.5 blue taylor spark plug wires and n2o spark plugs, pace setter headers, no cats, true dual 3" exhaust dumped with Magnaflow race bullets. ECM programmed by spike. Pretty much deleted all emissions, builds great power that way and the 5.3 loves it! 4200 stall in the tranny too. locker in the stock 10 bolt rear with 3.73 gears. Thats all staying the same. Might go with a bigger cam next summer.

Oh yeah and the clean Silvy tails im installing too. Clean as **** picked up for 70 bucks.

If you're cutting a drop spring, do not cut more than one turn out of it. It is probably 3-4 inches per coil on a drop spring. Even on a stock coil, after the first coil, its about 3 inches per coil.
Nice to see you going low without cheating with baby wheels and tires

To be honest, I would do half a coil at first to see just how much that drops you, because that may already be an inch or 2. The stock coils are wound tighter than any aftermarket ones I've seen, so that would mean each coil on an aftermarket one would account for more height.

yeah just do like 3/4 first. Im saying this from experience i cut a little more then a coil of my stock springs and it was easily a 3 drop... I dont know if you have just drop coils but 5" of drop with just coils in the front all i can say is good luck.
