Default Quick question before I lower the truck?

Right before I was thinking about lowering my truck today I have one question before I start tearing in to it. I'm using the hotchkis componets, and i have 285x60x18 wheels. Will they rub up front? Looking at them with the wheels slightlyturned theres not much space between the tire and the inner black fender piece up front. Thanks for the help guys!!

Oh, yea I have a 02 Silverado ext cab 4x2

285/60/18 comes out to be a 31.5" diameter tire. What types of wheels are you running these on? Do you know the backspacing? Usually with just a 2/4 drop you can get away with improper backspacings, but you might have some rubbing issues up front due to the sheer size and width of these tires in question.

I would venture to say you'll be ok with them on a 2/4, possibly with slight rubbing issues...but no way you could ever go 4/6 or more in the future.

I'm not totally sure what the backspacing is on them but I have MKW 9's.

I had 275/60/18 on mine for a week after I installed my Hotchkis kit. I had to be real carefull not to rub them. You will not be able to drive agressively at all.

I ran 295/50/20's and 265/45/20's with about a 6" backspacing and had no problems with rubbing.

I got 29.7" diameter tires on mine, and only when going over big lumpdy lumps on the freeway at high speeds has mine rubbed. Just one spot on the driver side rubs the inner plastic fender. I can drive aggressive as hell everywhere except this one spot on the freeway! I got 275/45/20's
