Testor's candy apple red. If you are **** you can do it professionally with a paint gun. My brother did that. I don't see any difference between mine and his except I paid like $10 and he paid $200.

That is the same paint I used (Testors transparent candy apple red). You can find this in a hobby store. But I also used Testors clear coat and it looked great until they got wet! Their clear didn't take well at all to water. It clouded up and began to flake off. The red still looks great! But the clear, even with 3 coats of it, has all flaked off now. I have to redo the clear and probably another coat of red because of the sanding I will have to do.

What kind of clear coat paint did everyone else use? If you used Testors, did yours flake off?

I used Testor's clear coat in a can as well and mine hasn't flaked off.

I used NiteShades spray tint on mine, followed by three coats of generic clearcoat from a rattlecan I got at AutoZone. Going on 2 years and still looks good. I think the attention needs to be on the prep work and sanding between coats, regardless of what product you use.

Nice truck man! Is that just a stock tail light with the candy sprayed over the outside? Does it cover up the yellow signal that well? Is the paint just regular paint or a tint type of paint? I have gotta do this. Has a nice clean look to it. Thanks for the picture.
