No, you don't take anything off. No part of the system is in the way of the sparkplugs.

You def will have to take the air cleaner off at the minimum to change plugs on the driver side.. Or at least for me I do.. I think the D1 sits up a tad higher then a P1 so that mite be the diff

Only removal of the air filter here.

Sharpshooter probably just does his through the fender. Not really an option for me.
