I'm going to paint he chrome bar. I am trying to get all the chrome off my truck. I am debating on whether I want to paint the bumper body color, or paint it black. I'm going to be buying some nnbs tahoe wheels and powdercoating them black.

 

Just got the wife's Tahoe back from the body shop , new hd hood among other things . I love it ! Thought I would share .

The hoe looks good Tim!!! Love the HD hood without the grille and bumper. Adds the perfect subtle change to the front these body style trucks need.

 

That looks great! I wouldn't change a thing. In some instances I like the whole HD front end, but on your truck I like it just with the hood.

 

Here is my tahoe with the HD Hood..

 

Here is mine with HD grill and bumper cap with stock 1500 hood. Still need to close the gap up some and I am thinking of color matching the bowtie to break up the large chrome centerbar.

 

This is exactly how I want the front end on my truck to look! Just gotta get the HD hood and some fogs.

How would you do the HD front end with the regular 1500 bumper? Anyone have a link or write up?

 

The hood and grille are bolt on items. You need the HD plastic cap for the top of the bumper and then you have to cut the brackets off the frame that hold the bumper and remount them lower. That's it

The chrome bar and the lower valance on the bumper are the same.
