yep the color is definatly bright! i wasn't sure about it at first when I sprayed it, but i wanted something not a stock gm truck color, no other vehicles with something like that on it around here!
yep that valance is low for sure, cant get a can under it, maybe laying on its side... takes some carefull planning for the days I do drive it, have to know where every speed bump and road construction is thats for sure!
no jets in the plate at the moment, bottle is empty. need to sort out what jets i'll need in there for pulling fuel off the injector rail for the ls3 style intake with a vette regulator.
sniper kit solenoids are only good for a 150shot, i'll probly start at 75 and go up from there, just a friday night cruise vehicle, and sometimes drop the kids off at school one day a week.

Reminds me of the hassle when I shot my bumper & mirrors trying to keep overspray out of the garage. Didn't work so well, had red oxide epoxy primer dust fk'n everywhere. Wound up shooting the base/clear outside in the driveway
A quick cut & buff got rid of a few small flying insect bodies... came out pretty good anyway.

yep, makes a mess that's for sure, but if you keep your prep work good, and your air supply good and dry, go into it knowing you'll be cutting and buffing afterwards, good results can be had in a garage, even with questionable environments and maybe a couple too many old Milwaukees for some courage...

Yeah I've been around the body/paint business since 1976 and have painted everything from 18 wheelers to helicopters. Back in the day I was painting brand new Peterbilt's, Freightliner's, Mack's etc. bought in fleets of a dozen or more... hanging off 16' ladders pulling tape, masking the stripes popular back in the 70's then shooting one color a day mostly in single stage Imron for each truck. Made good money then got moved up doing collision which was ok but working with aluminum skinned truck bodies was a pain in the ***.
Bounced back to cars working in a Pontiac dealership for eight years then in a few mom & pop smaller shops. A custom hotrod shop making big cash money where the bodyshop foreman would get on my *** if I worked to hard "slow down don't work yourself out of a job". Had a feeling it was a front for something... as nothing ever left the shop. Gathered my tools and didn't look back lol.
Long before HVLP guns the Binks #7 was the cadillac of the industry. I've probably put 15 rebuild kits in my #7 since the 70's. Wonderful pattern but wasteful for today's standards. A gallon of Imron was only $36 way back then. Now a gallon of victory red Deltron DBU base is $500+ and it aint no dam better!
I know this 500's has to be 25 years old and sounds liquid when shaken... if I only had some 192-S activator

Last paint job in the garage before sheetrock and the Racedeck flooring makeover.
Did a lot of side work in here... and do I miss it... hell no lol
