polishers??? Flex vs porter cable
#11
They both have their strong points.
The flex will definitely allow you to achieve more in less time simply b/c its a more powerful machine. I also find it much more comfortable to work with for extended periods since it runs much smoother and has a better grip/handle setup.
That being said its limited in pad sizes you can work with.
The PC does very well and is a workhorse of a machine... if you plan to do only your vehicle and maybe a couple others the PC is the way to go... if you plan on doing a lot of polishing the Flex might be worth a look just b/c of how much time it will save you.

I have both of them. Pm me for my number if you would like to come get a feel of them to see which you like, I am also in fort worth. Also have a flex and makita rotary buffers. The flex is nice bc like some have pointed out, it is orbital, but it also is forced rotation like a rotary so its got the torque for any job. It would be hard to choose between them for me. They both have the strong points.

I have the PC and if you're paints in good shape and your only doing it once in a while it's the cat's ***. Start doing it to make some cash, buy the flex.
It works, all Adam's polishes. No wax in these pictures, just polished and sealed.

That's the biggest one yeah, it's my Dad's truck, at the time when he bought it he got a deal through my Mom's work and they got nearly $10k knocked off the price, that's why they got a Ford. Since then though my brother bought him a 2011 Silverado 2500HD so it's alright, everything's good now.
