looking for some pics of trucks with shaved tailgates and bumpers, i always see some with pans, but bumpers with shaved gates are rare around here. any pics would be helpful.

Na no lock, as it is a soft top, just uses the J lip to seal it...

 

what exactly you mean j lip? i am more nervous now if i decide to get a shavd gate due to the thieves, and i have been wanting a bed cover like yours as well. or some way to lock the gate in, any ideas?

 

Instead of having snaps to fasten the cover, it has strips that are J shaped, hook under the cover frame.. It finishes it off nice and smooth.. Extang makes great covers, it stays put, I know it is 140mph proof.. But like I said as far as a lock, there is not one..

 

ive got a hose clamp around the passenger side hinge that picks up. its not as good as a lock but there going to have a hell of a time getting it off and if they want it that bad ill just call the insurance company and get another one. I think it was the stylin truck magazine that i seen a lock that goes around the hinge.

 

any pics of this so called hose clamp trick? trucks look good. im tempted to get a shaved gate again, but this time with my bumper still on. looks clean guys. as long as they fight getting the gate off, thats all i care about, its too easy to take em off, dont want the gate to just walk away.

 

this is the best picture i could get but when the tailgate is closed you cant see it unless you really look.

 

thats not a bad idea, im gonna look into that. seems like an easy fix lol.
