Default Painted interior

I am going to paint all the plastic in my interior and was wondering if anyone else has done this and if so give me some tips. I usually learn things the hard but dont want to this time. I want to sand it smooth and prime it, paint it, airbrush it, and clear it. Any help would be great.

like you said, sand it smooth first, its better than just a thick coat of primer. and don't use paint stripper on the dash peices, i learned the hard way that (paint stripper eats plastic dash peices) !

What sanding process did you use? Do you have any pics?

I'm attempting a similar thing with some interior peices of mine. The dash bezel im going to use a thin coat of bondo on to get it nice and smooth. If i get it to work properly, i'll post a write-up on it.

Be sure to clean the plastic first with dish detergent to get out the waxes and oils in the plastic. Then just sand it smooth with something like 220 grit or so. Also, use an adhesion promoter like Bulldog before you start priming.
