Default Painted front lower air deflector?

I would like to get my lower air deflector color matched on my '06. I do not know if there is a company that sells a smooth one or if I should just have my stock one re-painted? I contacted my local body shop and they are unsure about painting it, if the paint would stick or not. Does anyone have experience with this?

well the paint would def stick, its just a matter of how much of the texture they sanded down... the more you are willing to spend the more they will probably sand down and smooth out for ya so it will look better. but if what your askin is is it possible, yes theres guys on here who do it all the time

I don't know about that. Have you ever painted anything plastic before? If you don't use some sort of adhesion promoter the paint won't stick at all and it will chip really easy. The first time I did my lower valence I didn't use it and the paint chiped horribly. I had to re sand it and spray adhesion promoter between priming, and painting it so the paint would stick to the plastic and other coats.

well i never said it wouldnt chip, i just said it would stick ... i painted my stock mirrors before, just sanded the **** outta em and my paint stuck and never chipped, i would imagine the plastic for the mirrors is the same for the airdam, now im not sayin they might not use some kinda adhesive but it will definitely stick

it all depends on how much time is spent sanding and preping the plastic. mine was done over a year ago and dosnet have a single rock chip. it looks like it came from the factory like that but the guy who did it spent a crap load of time on it and said he would never ever everdo another airdam like mine mine has a few more curves to it than your usual chevy valance
