Yeah, the trim shouldn't be too hard to take off. May want to wait until it's nice and hot to loosen up the adhesive. I like Optimum products for polishes/compounds. I bet some Optimum compound followed by Optimum polish would work wonders on the paint. As far as the wheels, I don't know where to get them these days. I know there is at least one company that used to make reproduction Impala SS wheels so they shouldn't be too hard to find.

Some 17" Impala SS rims with 275/50/17 tires would look great and fill the wheel wells pretty well with that drop. Next buff the paint out, or pay someone to do it if you don't want to. Polish those oxidized lights, ditch the chrome on the fender lips, and get some smaller mirrors and it will look like a different truck.
what year impala wheels?

There you go. There's a lot of stuff you can do for free or on the cheap. A major detailing inside and out, including the engine bay..... attention to detail. A little paint in the bay, touch up the suspension stuff too, some rubber boots on the shocks, maybe some braided hose under the hood, a fresh set of Red plug wires, smoke paint the tail lights, look for some bucket seats at the junk yard. Gonna look good I'm sure. Wow, I wasn't even trying. I'm sure you can come up with some more stuff, just look around and don't be afraid to try something different too. Good luck with it.

I see the impala ss wheels on ebay all the time,if wanna clean it up under the hood put you some chrome valve covers on it,get you a billet grill.I like the way your truck looks now but you can definately put some nice touches to make stand out, your at a great starting point now!

It does have a great stance, so there's a start. My suggestions to start the ball rolling, billet grille, tint and a good detailing throughout will make a world of difference. Then as $$ comes more available I'd do wheels & tires, painted door handles, sport side mirrors, roll pan, under hood dressup, performance goodies, etc.

Truck looks like a fun project, look forward to seeing its progress.
