Default Nitto 420S Vs 555

Looking for a set of new tires for the Asanti's, 22x10's. The 285/35 Sumitomo's I have now are junk.

A pic for reference:

I would like to get more sidewall as the truck rides like crap... I would also like to raise it up a bit and maintain the same gap between the tires and fender.

I am looking at the following 2 sizes. I am open to other brands and sizes as well;

Nitto 555 - 265/40r22
Nitto 420S - 275/40r22

Looking for a better ride and traction.

I am a bit concerned that the 265 may be too narrow for the 10" rim. I used to have Pirelli's 305/35r22's on the Asanti's, but they were really wide and rubbed.

420's are all season. Unless these wheels are gonna see snow. get the 555's More sidewall on a 22 will give you a better ride no doubt but your now pushing a 32" tire. That kills acceleration.
I am on a 305/40/22 Still a harsh ride. I would stick with the smaller diameter. or step down to 20's
Use the manufac specs for rolling diameter as tire calc's don't match what the company actually produced.

General grabbers are look great ride great and have good grip for a 22

Yokohama for general weather and give a better ride.

Toyo have a great looking side wall.
