Default Nitto 420S...any good?...any problems?

After I mentioned I was getting the Nitto 420S tires.....some guy on texastruckscene.com said he has heard HORROR stories of the Nitto 420S tires. I havent heard/read anything bad about them.

If you know of any problems with this tire please lemme know...Im fixing to buy a set in a few hours

They get good reviews on DT's website

Was this fellow specific? I've heard nothing but good things about them. They look good, seem reasonably durable, and offer fine wet & dry handling.

I have a set and I love them. They have great wet & dry traction and wear good.

Maybe it was the redwall. they discontinued them just as i was fixing to buy a set. didn't want to spend 170ea for the white walls when i could get hankooks for 130ea.

I've never heard anything bad about them in either case, white or red. Ask him to be more specific. "horror stories" end up on the news.
