Default New truck

Haven't posted in here in quite some time.

Bought a new truck and plan on retiring my 1999. I bought a 2005 5.3L Silverado LS, RCLB 4x4. My plans are pretty simple this time around. For performance I will probably do LT headers, exhaust, and CAI. As for the exterior, I'm going to keep it low key and just color match the plastics. I already installed some Esky door handles but otherwise not to much else. I don't want to draw too much attention to the little secret that will eventually be under the hood.

Anyways, here's some pics of the new truck the day I brought it home about a month ago.

I know, I know! I've debadged about every vehicle I've ever owned but this time around I don't know if I want to or not. I'm going to trying to stick to a low key somewhat "sleeper" look especially for when that Radix goes under the hood.

sweet!! I'd ditch the towing mirrors and maybe the moldings, but other than that it's real nice. I like the longbox trucks, I cannot wait to see what the exact plans for this are.

I'm going to keep the towing mirrors. I actually use them. They will be painted black hopefully sometime next week though. As for the side molding, like I said earlier I'm on the fence about it. I'm thinking of debadging but I might keep the stock look but pack a punch under the hood.

Well a number of reasons but the main reason was, this truck was a deal I just couldn't pass up. I paid $14,500 for it with only 17k miles. The other reasons are, it's something different for a change. I did the lowered RCSB already.

I'm going to miss my 99 when it finally goes. I wish I could keep both trucks but I only need one.

Thanks everybody!
