Default New taglight!

Well my taglight went out on my rollpan a few weeks back, and for some reason sir michaels makes the light housing sealed so that YOU CANNOT change the bulb without trying to take the little housing apart (which i broke trying to change it out lol) so after checking sir michaels online there replacement was going to be $8.50 + shipping , so.... i some how came across a tag light from a 2011 camaro . i had to make a few adjustments to the housing, but it fits as flush as the original that came with the rollpan , plus you can pop out the light socket for a quick bulb change.

here's the pics....

i have less than 5 bucks invested in this including the 5 smd 3 chip leds.

Did you get the LED bulb local or order online. Ive ordered alot of LEDs online, but Id really like to go shop for them in a store and get whatever I need, anyday I need them.

Looks good man...it appears that you can read the plate better with the LED's, you'd think that the cops would like that

yeah exactly. the plate is illuminated alot better, and clearer with the leds, than with a regular bulb.

if you do find one, all you have to do is cut off that v shaped plastic part on the left, and it will pop right in, fits nice and snug.

Looks good, been wanting to upgrade just my stock ones with some LED's.

Cops love pulling people over for colored lights up here also. My old truck has small blue LED's in the mirrors and it took all of 1 day after installing them to get pulled over on the way home.
