I am looking for paintable handles for doors and tailgate,
and a suggested place to buy them.

My truck is dark grey met. and i don't think i can get them that color so i assume i will need to paint them. I plan to paint the mirrors as well and remove body side molding and emblems

It should look pretty good

I just installed the carriage works billet grill and the 20's should be in soon,and then i will lower it about 2"'s

C3 Tailgate handle/bezel (pre-painted pewter):

These numbers might be a little old, but should at least give you a good start. Why not go with Escalade handles?

 

Do the SS's come in the color of your truck?
If so, the handles already come factory painted that color, along with the tailgate handle. That is exactly what I did and they look SWEET! No painting or anything needed, just replacement.

I'm not positive, but I don't think the SS's come in grey. Double check, though!

The door handles were about $44 a piece, $25 or so for the tailgate handle and $22 for the bezel, and those prices included a small discount from the dealership I got them through. They also usually have to be special ordered, so be prepared to wait a couple days for them.

 

I am up for escalade handles,does the pickup model tailgate handle work on the silverado's?

the SS is a good idea,i'll check that out

that would be painted with a chrome handle correct?

SS's only come in Black, Blue and Red for the moment.

The C3 tailgate handle will work on all NBS pickups.

I'll have to check on the Escalade part #.

 

The SS's will work on the 99-02's? I have an 01 in Victory red and wanted to get the bezel in that color and then get that chrome handle overlay, but only if the bezel will work on my truck??

 

Why don't you paint your factory handles?I know the SS's only come black,blue,and red.your gonna have to paint some anyway aren't you.So why not do the factory handles?

Z71 tahoes have painted door handles that come in varous colors.
I have denali handles on my 99 w/out problems.

Denali/SS/z71 Tahoe/ should all be the same.

 

I wanted the smooth look, looks like they don't come painted from the factory in victory red as just the bezel part. Not at the dealer I called at least, bmbutler you have a contact I could get for that tailgate bezel? Looks like I would have to get the SS/denali smooth bezel and have it painted? Not sure if the non SS vehicles have it smooth though?
