It has only 53000 miles on it. And lol do they look that bad? i think it'll look too high without the running boards.

I concur, ditch the boards bro......... An '89 with how many miles?!?!?!?! That's pretty sweet. Keep that thing as stock as you can in my opinion, it's worth more that way. But of course some things need to be done to it. Lower it a little bit, headers, and exhasut, new wheels and tires. After that I'd say you're set. It's gonna' look good no matter what you do it though. Best of luck.
