Default Mustang Cobra wheels on Ford Explorer

Hi guys,

Can any one tell me if I can fit 2003 Mustang Cobra wheels on my 2000 Ford Explorer, the cobra wheels have a 5x4.5 or 5x1143 bolt pattern and the offset I think is 7.

Can any one help?

Yes they will. But, depending on which one you have, the center cab might not go on the front two wheels. If its the thin five spoke, thats the ones you wont be able to put on the centercap without a spacer. The thicker five spokes will fit no problem.

Hi outlawz2004,

I’m not quit sure what type of cobra wheels these are so hear is a picture of them,

Are these the thin or thick spoke wheels, will I need spacers to get the caps on these cobra wheels?

Yes, you will need a small spacer for those.

Will I just need spacers on the front, and will it make any difference that my explorer is 4WD?

I'm not sure about the 4x4, I say buy them first and if it needs the spacer than get it. You might want the spacer on the rear also just to bring them out evenly. It does have automatic hubs right, and not the manual hubs.

Well, manual hubs are normally big and stick way out, and I dont know if they would have fit in the center bore hole in the wheel. You should be ok.
