I think soap is soap to a point. My dad uses dawn dish soap, seems to work just fine.

EXACTLY!!!!
DO NOT USE DISH SOAP! It will kill the clear coat on your vehicle.

I use this when I don't feel like doing a complete detail. I have used a large variety of soaps and this has the most suds out of the ones I tried. I do a complete detail once a month and this is a good product for the washes in between.

As far as dish soap goes, I use Dawn every few months to strip off the old wax. I would only recommend doing it if you plan to clay, buff, seal and wax. It should never be used without waxing after wards. I have also never had any problems with it hurting my clear coat.

I agree with this as well.
Although,...I never use wax on my vehicles, just Zaino Polish.
