Im doing my own thing.

Finally found a drag/street tire to run that was large enough.
3795R - Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial Tires

NOT CHEAP........
Running a Hankook H405 275/40/16 up front with the 15x8s.
I don't see bigs and skinnies in your post.

I hope you are happy with the outcome but you certainly aren't helping performance at all using steel and especially 16x8 up front! If you have ever walked on a prepped track you will probably re-consider putting a 275 up front. The weight is bad enough but it will probably take 10+ hp to roll each of the front tires on a prepped track.

I understand you are wanting to do your own thing and I love that!! But if you are trying to get good times at the track you need to find a way to get a skinnier tire up front.

P.S. I wouldn't go with a radial but if you do I hope it hooks for you. It is fairly wide but it will probably give you fits hooking up off the line.

Im thinking my fully built 6.0 bored and stroked with 15:5:1 compression alcohol injected motor can handle the load. A little over 900 to the wheels.

I am sure it can but seems foolish to me. I am guessing the 8" wheels up front are because that is the smallest that wheel is made? If so why not have them narrowed and run a smaller tire up front?

Damnit you caught me. There is no 6.0 build... hahaha. You called me out both times though.

Ok what is really coming down too, is that i have my setup im bored and im bored with the looks it will be street queen as a bolted and sprayed 5.3 being i wont make it to the track maybe more then once and i will not run the setup i posted. Anyways, she is going to be sunday roller for now being my wife and i have our first child due March 3rd. So im just messing around with huge street tires. It should look pretty sick i think but performance will suck i know. SO there you go.

if i had to guess lol cause i dont really know i would guess a 4/6 or 5/7 but once i get the rear narrow i will be dropping the back another 1.5"s and the front also. it'll be a true tuck of the tires
