Default looking to lower

im about to lower my rcsb stepside and am undecided on hoe low to go. i was either thinkin a 3/5 or 2/4. i need some opinons and waned to know if when the front is dropped more than 2", does it throw anything out of wack like alignment or anything else?

Alignment for sure, and maybe pinion angles

you should get an alignment if you do any height change to the front.

As for how low, how tall are your tires or what size are they? Once you figure this out then you can see how low you can go without rubbing.

I would say go 3/5 because if you go 2/4 then after a while you are gonna want to go lower. and yes you will need an alignment in the front. i just dropped my blazer and had new spindles, shocks, and coils in the front and my alignment was way off.

I lowered my truck 2/4 and can tell you that (in the rear) even with the shortest bumpstop I could find, the rear axle hit the bumpstop even on the smallest bumps in the road, making for a truley rough ride. I cured the problem by installing overload air bags in the back, with about 10 psi in the bags it raised the back about 1/2 in, but keeps the axle off the bumpstops and the ride is nice.

The front I used lowering keys, but I plan on changing to drop spindles, to get the suspension travel back.

I have ran a 2/4 for a pretty good while... I am about to go to a 4/6... IMO, just do the lowest drop you would want first and save yourself from having to re-do it...
