Installing Center Console
#1
What should I use to Spray dye my center console?? It's light grey and I have the dark grey interior. Also I know I need that tube from under the dash on the Chevy/GMC trucks to control the rear A/C vents. I also know I need that trim peice. Where can I get that trim peice?? I've heard of people cutting their original peice and putting them back on. Let me know. I want to get going on this project.

I don't know about any die that will work on plastic. You will probably have to paint it. The other parts you need I would check the junk yards or if you want new parts check here http://www.buy-oem-parts.com/

go to an automotive paint store and they will be able to mix you some paint for the console that matches your interior. I have the dark graphite as well and i had to get some paint when i did my gauge pillar. It matches almost perfectly, only thing i didnt like was i wish i would have went with the whole a pillar instead of just the piece that fits onto the pillar. Heres a picture of the pillar http://www.getonitracing.net/members...s/100_0719.JPG
I also have done the center console in my truck. I took it out a while back because i needed the center seat (old lady wants to sit there for some reason) I can help you along if you need help. The install is pretty simple. My advice is to trim the bottom of the heater cover under the dash where the rear a/c tubes attach to the vent box. On the vent box will be a blocker plate that is held on with two screws, undo these screws and the tube fits in its place. if you cut a notch in your original trim piece to allow the a/c tubes to connect to the vent box, you wont even be able to tell. Hell i took my console out and you still cant tell that i cut the trim piece/ cover.
