Default important suspension question?

I want to get the hotchkis suspension for my 2003 gmc sierra. (springs and leaf springs for the back) After I do this, a 2-4 drop and say I want it a little lower in the back can I put a shackle kit on the back along with the leaf springs to go a little lower. Thanks

If the shackle kit lowers it more than another 2" (6" rear drop) in the back you will have to get the frame c-notched.
I know a guy who lowered his truck 3/5(not Hotchkis), and he says the axle hits the frame when he goes over bumps.
I think his was DJM so that suspension is pretty squishy. I don't know if you could get away with that with the Hotchkis though since it's a pretty stiff ride.

You would need a c-notch even with the hotchkis springs. I only have about 1.5" of travel to the bumpstops now. But with a c-notch, I seen no problem with adding a 2" schackle to a Hotchkis leaf.

In addition to what the other guys said I assume that you plan on lowering the front more at the same time if you use a shackle in conjunction with the Hotchkis drop. Otherwise the rear of your truck is going to sit ALOT lower than the front.

I ask the question because I am going to do the 2/4 drop from Hotchkis but I was thinking later if I wanted to drop it more, then I wanted to make sure I could do it with a shackle kit. Thanks for the replies
