So are you running a full 2/4 kit w/ spindles? If so, how much worse is the ride compared to stock and what all did you do to "tweak" it so that it was returned to somewhat close to stock feel?

Ride is better than stock, way better. I gave up some turning radius with the drop and fat tires but it's really a minor issue.
Shackles and hangars in the rear for 4" but I am going to replace the stock shackles and remove the 2" blocks in the future.
The front is a set of Belltech 2" drop spindles and then an inch or so of torsion de-twisting.

I like a raked stance.

Looks sick! Could you PM me with details on everything you used (parts) and did (tweaking) so that I know what I need to do in order to achieve similar results? Thanks!! BTW, was your truck a Z71 to start with?

this should be the GM P/N for the 2wd ubolts #15002781

Hey Bill, with the Belltech spindles do you HAVE to run 17s+? cause i think thats how the McGaughy's spindles are for AWD & 4WD, just incase he plans on running his stockers

I would recommend 18's just because they are a really tight fit with the 17's. I had to shave the ball joint bolts almost completely off.

So 18's and up will fit without modification?

Yeah, they say 17 minimum but they're a tight squeeze, well my wleds might have a little more meat than cast wheels.

Actually beastmode that is the beauty of the McGaughy's kit. If you look at most after market spindles compared to the factory ones, the aftermarket ones are about an inch or so taller which is where most of your steering geometry goes because the mounting points for the ball joints and so on change. The McGaughy's spindle is almost identical in size and bolt up configuration to the factory one, they have just moved the hole where the hub comes through up to achieve the drop so that your steering loss is very minimal. Grab a copy of the new Truckin' mag and look for their ad. It shows the McGaughy's spindle compared to the factory one and another aftermarket spindle. Most of the reason I ended up going with the McGaughy's kit was that feature and the good deal. I really didnt want to sacrifice any steering because my truck already steers like a cruise liner, wide and slow. If not for the price I would have gone Belltech.
