As some of you may or may not know, the truck wont be lifted after this spring, but will be lowered, I thought of just taking off the body lift and the rear block and decranking the bars, but Im not sure how low that will get me, I want to go maybe as low or a bit lower then a stock 2 wheel drive, but I still want the truck to be practical for driving around town. So recommend me an amount of drop with a good tire size for 18s or 20s, pics would be great too!! thanks in advanced everyone!

If your going to go to 18s/20s and keep them year round you can do rear shackles, block removal for 4 inches lower then stock, and up front you can do lowering spindles(I think - can't remember) and crank the bars a bit, try for a 3/4. I'd stick with tires around stock height, it'll fill out the fenders and look pretty spiffy to boot.

I took the block out of my 4x4 and went as low as possible with the torsions. Honestly still wasn't low enough. It really needed a rear shackle/hanger and the different bars up front.
It just looked like a 2wd truck...

removerd blocks, shackles, decranked the bars.....sits a little lower than a stock 2wd...drives fine...as far as a tires im running a 285/60/18

This is the truck last winter thank goodness, just needs to be practical driving around town on bumpy roads

ok thats what I was looking for, I think Ill go with 20s, A little less rubber and little more rim looks better to me on a lowered truck, 20s would be perfect. nice truck man!

If you go lower, 18 fit well IMO.
If you remove the blocks and decrank the bars ten add a 2/4 on top of that you will be a little higher than i am.
I have a stock height tire for a 2wd(30.5)265/60/18

But if your going 20" centerlines there isnt alot of weight difference, and it will fill it in more.

Here's my 4x4 with lift blocks removed, 2" rear shackles, spring clamps, and lowering keys in front. It's similar to BirchZ71's drop, but my tires are 285/50 20, which is about 31" tall...

your truck and bright teals has the stance im looking for, arent chevy 2500 hd keys pretty much lowering keys? and by the way those JG wheels look great!

My drop is a 3/4.
I think the trick is rim/tire size.
If you do 20's with a good size tire like Billy's you dont need to go as low, his tires are just over 31" so that helps fill it out

with what you are planning you should be lower than Billy, but higher than me
