I would say use a mild detergent to loosen the dirt, (simple green should be ok). Then rinse gently from the clean side to the dirty side. Finally let air dry and then re-install.

dunno if id use simple green, they actually make intake cleaner (might be a form of simple green wit a intake cleaner sticker lol.. who knows). ive always sprayed that **** on really good then hosed it off... not to much water pressure. then repeated that till its clean. then let air dry, then oil it up.... reinstall and go get it dirty again lol

dawn soap works great . . . . soak, rinse, soak, rinse . . . rinse again, dry. Oil it up.

think i can just soak and rinse mine using soapy water? i have the Bruteforce which is that dry filter. i assume it's the same as any other filter, minus oiling it once it's dry. right?
