Default Hood Question

Ok I tryed to put on a hood scoop on my truck and did a totaly bad job. I drilled holes and then cut underneath the hood so it actally lets air in. The problem is that it looks really dumb I did about a year ago and wish i never did it. My cousin put a new hood on his truck so I am going to buy his stock hood off of him. I was wondering if I painted the hood black how it would look on my yellow truck. Any thoughts will be taken bad or good because what I have now is stupid as hell.

You might as well get the hood that you actually want if you are going to paint one anyway. Let's see some pics of your first attempt. What kind of scoop was it? And yes, Paint it yellow.

you will probably be looking at $3-400 for a QUALITY paint job and even then it may not stand up to factory quality. My suggestion is try to find a factory painted yellow hood on ebay or something.

The scoop is a 67 cobra jet scoop and it looks retarded on my truck I was young and stupid when I did it. Now that I have a brain I want to fix it.

You got any pics of the hood that's on your truck now? I'm just wondering how it looks, cause that actually sounds like a good idea for a custom hood. I've got an idea for a custom hood on mine and wanna see how this looks. Kinda off topic but looks like our trucks are just about identical except for the hypertech.
