Are you using flux core wire to weld that?

I have a little sheet metal fab/welding experience. The flux core will be harder to weld sheet metal. The flux core leaves to much slag on the metal surface to properly stich weld the seems fully without grinding down the surface between each series of spot welds. Are you spacing out all the spot welds?

Well it looks interesting. I'm not sure if it will really be functional or not as in my mind the air flowing over the hood will create more of a vacuum over those holes and possibly pull air out or have no effect instead of pushing air in.
