I personally recommend nitto extreme force 404. they have a 420 tread wear rating with traction A temperature A. they ride SMOOTH and quite and grip the road excellent in dry and wet conditions. a 300 treadwear tire might last 25-30k where as a 420 treadwear might see as much as 45k miles if treated right. I guess it all depends on what your expectations are and how often you want to buy tires.

200 and 300 are the correct #'s for the treadwear

When I had my 18's I had both a Yokohama AVS and Nitto 404 in 285/50/18. I will take the nittos over the yokos anyday. Rode smoother, less noisy, better dry traction(about equal wet traction/hydroplane resistance) and were 80 bucks less a tire. Although the Yoko were a very good looking agressive tire, the just wern't the 'premier' sport truck tire the are advertised to be. Now that the 18s are gone, I will be putting a set of Toyo Proxies in a 275/60/16 on my stock aluminum rims on friday. I will let yall know how they do. Anything has to be better than these 235 wranglers I currently have on there though.
