Question Help on tire size and lift

Hello everyone, i have a 2002 Z-71 Tahoe. It has factory wheels and tires on it. I won't a bigger look. It currently has 265/70/17. Can i put 305/70/17 on the same factory rims? If so i know i will need to lift my truck some for them to fit properly. What is the minimum lift that i would have to do for these tires to work?

You should be ok with factory rims, I have some 33" (295/70/17) tires on my factory rims and they fit fine. I had to put a 3" body lift to be able to fit the tires. I'm not too sure for the Tahoe's but at minimum a 3" body lift and maybe some torsion bar cranking. But again, I'm not sure the clearances on the Z71 Tahoes

I'm running 305/70 R16's on my Z71 Silverado without much problems. I have a bit of rubbing when I really cut the wheel while backing up, but that should go away if I ever get around to cranking up the torsion bars.

Check out the link in my signature to see if they're aggressive enough for you.
