Default Help me pick grille

I bought my son a 2001 GMC Sierra SLE. The chrome piece around the headlights and grille is broken on each side. Not knowing much about these trucks, I just want to make sure I am not buying junk. I was wanting to get him the chrome piece and billet grill for Christamas. Are these good choices, or is there a sponsor that has good ones at a good price?

I need both pieces, the grille and the surrounding chrome piece. Please provide links if you have a better source.

i really should have read the whole thing before i posted.. guess that's what happens when you haven't had your coffee yet.

as far as the chrome surround, i'd advise you to look into OEM. like the saying goes, "you get what you pay for." fitment issues could be a problem with this ebay grille.. clips may not line up, etc. ebay always has OEM grilles that you can choose from as well.

and for the billet grille, i've seen ebay billet grilles that aren't half bad looking. but again, you get what you pay for.

this company has a lot of custom grilles for that truck with fairly reasonable rates. the webpage kinda sucks though, its set up exactly like the catalog, i.e. you have to "turn the page" on the web site. regardless, decent product.

Check this one out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GRILL...mZ250192579715

I bought a bumper from these people and it fits as well as stock. Shipping is high but it'd save you a little cash regardless. The billet you picked out would be fine.

The second one is great! I have bought 2 grille shells from them (APA), one chrome and one that was for a Work Truck that was grey and I had it painted. They are great quality and fit just as good as OEM! I took the painted one off, but I still have the chrome one with a cutout billet grille on there now. PICS BELOW.
