I ordered a HD Hood for a 2002 2500 HD from a local salvage yard and received a regular 1500 hood, I was told by them that they specifically ordered a 2500 HD hood and that it is the correct one. Did these trucks come with a non HD hood?

 

As far as I know they only did in 99-00 but they were just badged as 2500's, not 2500hd.

 

Show them a picture. They dont have a leg to stand on. If you really ordered a 2002 2500 hood, and they claim they did, and you got a 1500 hood, then someone is in the wrong.

 

I'll have to wait until Monday to head over and hopefully get an exchange or my money back because every single 2002 2500 I've seen comes with the HD Hood. Thanks for the input fellas!

 

2001-2002 is the only year the hd hoods were made from. What part number is on the box and which manufacture?

 

Yup my dads 00 hd has a regular hood on it and my boss's boy has an 01 with the humped hood.

 

Yeah get your money back.

 

You better bring a picture as a reference when asking for a refund just to be safe. Surely they would argue that they are right with the product what is sent to you.
